Hanging Tough

We are so sorry to see our wonderful upstairs neighbors moving soon and here are some shots from the last time the triad kids were playing together.

We'll miss these cute kids!

We keep meaning to get some pictures of the kids and their antics in Grandma and Grandpa's gym and we finally caught one of Ian's new tricks. We have been surprised by Ian because our boy can hold himself up on this bar for 10-15 seconds at a time. Just supporting the weight in his head alone is an accomplishment, so the whole body is even more impressive.

Grandma makes delicious desserts and our children's faces prove that they were enjoyed thoroughly...

After we unpacked a random box of things from our storage unit (aka parents' garage), Ian quickly adopted an empty box as his new favorite place.

He insisted on taking a nap inside this new structure. Hopefully it's not training for a future abode.

Why would you sleep in an awesome car bed when you have a nice brown box to cuddle inside? Later that day the box disappeared and when he was getting ready for bed he was asking about its whereabouts. When Justin informed him it was gone, he wistfully replied, "box, comfy."

Our kids have been pretty tired lately with all of our time outside. We went to get Rachel up from quiet time one day and she'd fallen asleep without her head - or at least with it underneath her favorite blanket.

We headed down to the Logan Tabernacle for a little city party and Rachel wanted to take a picture with her favorite pioneer statue. Yes, she is wearing a cape and posing as a superhero. Maybe the pioneers are checking out her superpowers.

They had some fun teepees set up which Rachel quickly adopted as her "indian princess home". She was in heaven inviting us in to visit her new habitat.

Justin also gave the kids a ride in a handcart.

We had some pretty happy travelers.

While Rachel went back to the teepees, Ian could not be convinced to leave the cart.

He even wanted a turn flexing his muscles.

He makes a pretty cute pioneer - admittedly not very authentic, but very cute.

We then headed off to a new park and enjoyed some shade and the stream on a hot day.
