Fun Visitors

Things feel like they have been hoping for our family this summer. We've been lucky to have two weekends of fun family visitors. Cory, Kristen, and Ethan came up from Arizona for a great weekend and the kids had a blast with an additional cousin around. Ethan was particularly cute with Rachel and kept getting close to her and saying her name again and again. Very cute cousins!

Why does it seem like our kids are the crazy ones in these pictures?

Then, a few weeks ago we had a great trip to Salt Lake for a few days to visit with Nana. She totally spoiled us with great outings and delicious food (Rodizio Grill anyone?). We were lucky enough to be able to enjoy an afternoon at Red Butte Gardens when it was a little overcast and less hot. The kids were in heaven. Here is Ian checking out a snail.
They have great "lizard" seats in the children's garden and Ian had to practice his balancing skills.

Rachel next to a "flower bed" in the gardens.
We kept waiting for one of the kids to slip into the water, but they were very careful and thrilled to be able to check out the fish and ducks up close.

The next day we went on a a trip to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. It was a great place and had more to offer than we expected. We didn't take many pictures, but the kids loved all of the tanks, touching pools, and displays. Rachel was even brave enough to touch a snake for the first time and had to go back up to the volunteer for another round.
Nana was so great with the kids and they had so much fun spending a few days with her up North. Thank you for the visit!
